okay I have Done My Research & it is not a salamander I will be painting but a Great Crested Newt. Newt, yng Nghymraeg, is "madfall dŵr" or water lizard, Bruce dictionary doesn't get any more specific than that so I'm going to suggest "madfall dŵr cribog mawr"

I can't seem to find a specific word for 'shagreen ray' in #Cornish nor a definitive word in #Breton? #French, #Welsh have names relating to tradional clothmaking with 'raie chardon' ("fuller's thistle; teasel") and #Cymraeg: cribog ("fuller's comb"). A 'fuller' in #Kernewek is troghyer.
