the summary of CORS, CRSF, and various attack vectors in the motivations section of this proposal is really really good (and very worth reading if you're like me and have been meaning to form a more principled understanding of the problem space!)
In which I survey CSRF countermeasures and existing Go libraries and propose we add CrossOriginForgeryHandler to net/http to solve this once and for all.
Turns out there is no need for tokens or keys in 2025! Browsers just send a This-Is-CSRF header now. (Sort of.)

Decided to learn more about CRSF, the industry standard data protocol that powers drone comms links like ELRS, and wrote a parser / joystick emulation script to use my RCs with simulators without the need of USB cables or Bluetooth. Only using an ELRS 900mhz receiver hooked up to a FTDI USB dongle

and i have a working pipeline to wirelessly send commands to the drone and receive responses, diagnostics and logs (custom CRSF messages: host→[USBserial]→RC Lua script→[ELRS]→drone, and vice versa)
i'm so close to being able to do a low-rate motor spin test!

i found both the CRSF checksum and the MAVLink CRC this way in the aquila16 flight controller firmware. very useful reference points because the thing hardly has any strings

I consider my project CRSF for Arduino to be a work of art.
Reading this is very reassuring to me, because I felt like I was the only developer who sees coding in this way. I also see it like it's one big puzzle and figuring out what goes where in order to make it do what I want.

i think one big factor (among many) as to why AI has had such a foothold in coding spaces is because the majority of people dont consider programming to be art
