Text reads, “Vaccine recommendations: Some vaccines are recommended more for people who use drugs while others are recommended more for people who may have multiple sex partners, be pregnant, or be part of a sexual network where a particular infection is spreading. Most vaccines are 1 or 2 shots and usually only given one time in your life.” A chart shows the infection and what the process of getting vaccinated for each entails. First, Hepatitis A: 2 shots, 6 months apart. Next is Hepatitis B: 2 or 3 shots depending on which vaccine you get. Next is HPV: 3 shots over a period of 6 months. Next is Meningococcal, which differs based on your HIV status: HIV-negative people need 1 shot and HIV-positive people need 2 shots of the vaccine at least 8 weeks apart, then 1 shot of the vaccine every 5 years. Finally, Mpox: 2 shots, 1 month apart but if it’s been much longer than 1 month since your first shot, you can still get your second for max protection! Text reads, “STI/HIV prevention medications: There are a variety of preventive treatments you can take before chemsex or you take after a potential exposure (like having sex with a partner you don’t know well or sharing syringes/works).” A chart shows a list of prevention options and more details about each. First is DoxyPEP: Prevent chlamydia, syphilis, and (to a lesser extent) gonorrhea. Take doxyPEP pills after sex (and it’s safe to take daily if you’re having frequent sex). PrEP (pills or injectable): Prevents HIV if you’re HIV negative. Next is HIV treatment: Keeps you healthy and undetectable (meaning you can’t pass HIV on to others). HIV treatment pills are taken daily. HIV injectable treatment is every 1 to 2 months depending on the drug. Next up is Hepatitis C treatment: Pills can help clear the infection in 8-12 weeks 95% of the time. Finally is HIV PEP: Take ASAP (within 72 hours) of sex or sharing syringes and works. Prevents HIV if you’re HIV negative.
