Unstablized approach = mandatory go-around. The pilots were dive-bombing to the runway and were way too fast.

Should be less than 1000 fpm descent rate and under 200 mph on short final. CSB7698 tracking from flightaware

Touched down on the piano keys. Unfortunately on the wrong end of the runway.

re: amazon cargo jet overrun, involved a/c is N1997A (#A18CE8), a Boeing 767-33A(ER)F operating as CSB7598

flight was San Juan (TJSJ) to KMIA, historical track: globe.airplanes.live?icao=a18ce8

from ads-b data, appears the a/c may have gotten high on the approach & ended up 30-40kts fast

Thinking of the crew on CSB7598 which overran the runway at MIA. Hoping for a positive outcome for all involved but looks like a horrific scene

Amazon Prime Air 767-300 (CSB7598) overran Runway 30 at Miami on Sept. 6, crossed a perimeter road and caught fire. FAA imposed a ground stop; investigation continues. Fatality and injury reports varied. Disruption and safety risks extend beyond aviation. #Aviation #Logistics
