**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel approach to predictive maintenance and dynamic optimization of internal mixer performance within Continuous Stirred-Tank Reactors (CSTRs) used in bio-reaction processes. Traditional performance monitoring relies on infrequent manual inspections and computationally intensive CFD simulations, leading to suboptimal operating conditions and increased maintenance costs. Our method leverages a dynamic neural network ensemble (DNNE) trained on real-time sensor data (temperature, pressure, pH, impeller speed, torque) to predict mixer wear and tear, identify deviations from optimal performance, and suggest corrective actions, including impeller speed adjustment and cleaning schedules.

**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel framework for optimizing predictive maintenance schedules in stirred tank bioreactors (CSTRs) used for microbial fermentation processes. Traditional maintenance strategies often rely on fixed intervals, leading to either unnecessary downtime or premature equipment failure. We leverage Reinforcement Learning (RL) integrated with a high-fidelity Digital Twin (DT) to dynamically optimize maintenance interventions – cleaning, impeller replacement, and sensor recalibration – maximizing process efficiency and minimizing operational costs.
