The CSWB has been cooked in the corporate kitchens of RMOW and WRPS since inception, possessing no hallmarks of a strategy. Defunding the community-led Crime Prevention Council - who initiated the CSWB legislation, trained everyone, and produced real results - says so much about corporate sincerity.

Dell: Council and public has right to see new designs. Province and UBCM and FCM $ exists for this project. Want to push this down the road a few weeks. CSWB isn't just "hire more police and bylaw." Wants info on how Centennial revitalization aligns with the CSWB plan.

20/ Council approved the Centennial Square Revitalization, and council approved the CSWB plan. Some councillors voted against one or both of them. I would like to see council move forward, and not spend its time on member motions designed to reopen decisions that have already been made.

Loughton: Love the idea of a daycare with seniors' housing. Intergenerational living, mental health, plaza is a great addition for downtown. It's a vision for good living and aligns with our CSWB Plan objectives.

Coleman contd: Strange argument to say we shouldn't deal with this until after amalgamation. Following that logic, the CSWB plan shouldn't haven't been engaged until after amalgamation too.

If councillors want to gripe about the budget, they should look inwards. VicPD says Victoria now supports automatically inflationary police budget increases, an idea developed with businesses and Del Manak. Saddling residents with unthinking police budget increases is good governance, apparently.
