We were training these kids for trades but still telling them that they “had” to go to college. Thankfully the pendulum is swinging back the other way.

It took a 5 month State investigation by to prove that it was illegal for the Technical schools to actually tell staff that finding a way to reject 73% of Special Education applicants — without legally required individual assessments — was the only way to save $.

There's definitely an issue that needs fixing - each exam board brands its vocational quals differently so Pearson has BTECs, OCR has CTecs, NCFE has CACHE - so simplifying these would be good. But I don't know if this is the answer and T-levels aren't well understood either.
