Crash bandicoot got DOUBLE thrown under the bus for years. We got ctrnf, n sane, and its about time, but despite the former being mtx on a full priced game and 4 seling 5 millions, it “failed” because it didnt sell 20m in a year. Like bruh that’s nintendo numbers

That game has my favorite example of bad optimization: every time you load a race in CTRNF, it has to load EVERY SINGLE ASSET IN THE GAME and only then will it select the ones it needs for the race.
