#CUTS
He went onto become a minister at the the old Dept for Communities & Localgov during my time in the civil service. Had very little chance of reining in Eric Pickles and Grant Shapps on cuts to council funding. Might have had more impact with a less ideological/more pragmatic ministerial team.

“That’s why the Church in the East is the last democratic bastion of resistance, especially in rural areas. And the AfD knows that full well.”

Powerful episode and a slap for the CDU and SPD, who are currently slashing funding for democracy projects (while finding money for fuel duty cuts).
"Darum ist die Kirche im Osten die letzte demokratische Bastion des Widerstandes, besonders auf dem Land. (...) Und die AfD weiß das ganz genau."

Starke Folge und eine Ohrfeige an CDU und SPD, die gerade massiv Gelder für Demokratieprojekte streichen (die für Tankrabatte da sind).

The triple lock is very cheap to maintain when there is no SP

In fact they could make the annual increase a minimum of 50% a year and still have plenty of money for tax cuts for crypto billionaires

REMEMBER:
The final chapters of the "Big Beautiful Bill" won't be read into law, until January.

They designed it that way, because the cuts are so big, they knew it would hurt all Republicans, in the mid-terms.

They didn't count on us being smart enough to read and figure it out.

Vote GOP OUT.
Meanwhile....

Yet for decades we had all the money in the world for endless wars & torture, 85 billion for ice & their torture centers. Endless tax cuts for rich & corporations.
Why is that always taken for granted but any benefit to public is under scrutiny & conclusion is always the same-

im repeating myself but this one is STILL so good. love thinking about the interior of characters vs dramatic irony (like a group of 3 where everyone thinks they're the third wheel)

and this is really cuts to one of the more fun dynamics to explore with that idea

Data centers get the rate cuts, the tax cuts and the water.

We pay higher rates and ration water. Our tax dollars dont protect us, they protect corporations.
