On ne sait pas le programmer. On a jamais su le programmer. Des gens ont essayé de constituer des bases de données (ex: CYC) pour attaquer ce sujet. C'est un fail, pas si clair que ca, mais ca sent le fail quand même.

RIP D. Lennat, bien entendu, gros taf, gros respect

For me it's a a few factors:
If the card has narrow counterplay for it's warping effect (Humility/Stasis), is extremely resource lopsided (Cyc Rift/Tithe/Expropriate), invalidates a perceived amount of the time spent playing already (Thoracle), or simply takes too long to resolve (Scrambleverse)

it's funny, because "model that requires untold terabytes of pre-existing human training data to function" is kind of anathema to how they would like things to work, it's like the revenge of Cyc

The Goblin Orchid, from the Mormodes genus. I didn't even know these existed until visiting Orchid Alley on Kauai. They get their name for the fleshy flowers and twisted forms they take. I think it looks like they have a goblin-like nose.

Historical Patterns Show U.S. Stock Market Vulnerability Following Federal Reserve Rate Hikes
The article examines historical patterns of U.S. stock market performance following Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. According to data analyzed by LPL Financial, the S&P 500 has typically declined by 2.6% on average three months after the first rate hike in a cycle, with declines ranging from 8% to 14% in five out of six cycles since 1994. The current rate hike cycle, which began with the Fed's first increase since 2023, is expected to be relatively short and shallow compared to previous cycles, with rates projected to peak at around 4.8% after approximately 100 basis points of increases. Market analysts note that while initial market reactions to rate hikes have historically been negative, stocks have tended to recover relatively quickly within a year, with the S&P 500 typically rising 6.8% on average one year after the first hike. The article contrasts the current environment with the 2022-2023 cycle, which saw a more aggressive 525 basis point increase and resulted in a 25% market decline, noting that the current cycle is expected to be less severe. Analysts like David Lefkowitz of UBS and Lori Calvasina of RBC Capital Markets emphasize that the market's reaction will depend on how aggressively the Fed hikes rates and how the economy responds, with particular attention being paid to economic indicators like the ISM manufacturing index. The article also notes that while the S&P 500 has gained over 12% this year and remains near record levels, investors are bracing for a near-term pullback of 5-10% as the Fed continues its rate hiking cycle. The historical context provided suggests that while rate hikes can initially dent stock prices, markets have generally recovered within a year, with the exception of the 2022-2023 cycle that coincided with recession fears and an unusually aggressive hiking pattern.

Derek Gee out of home world championships
Derek Gee has withdrawn from his home Worlds, according to Cycling Canada. The Canadian from Osgoode, Ontario was set to lead his nation in the men's elite road race on Sunday, but will be unable to start after a crash at the GP Montreal. He will be replaced by NSN's Guillaume Boivin. “Unfortunately, the recovery from the crash at GP Montreal hasn’t been fast enough to put me in a place where I can race properly or contribute to the team and justify taking a spot at the start," Gee said in Cycling Canada's statement. "I'm still looking forward to experiencing the Worlds atmosphere in Montreal, but this time it’ll be from the other side of the fence.”
