Re: the wonka experience thing and shitty AI, here's when we made *physical* fake chocolate props for the actual CadburyWorld experience.

If you see this, post something that isn't 28mm.

Trying to will this into current reality just by looking at this old photo of a test moulding for Cadburyworld.

Have a photo of some absolutely massive chocolate I made, to cheer you up. That's a pound coin for scale.
June 12, 2025 at 1:39 PM
I mean, we have form for building those...

Because it came up: back when I got paid to make giant fake chocolate for about six weeks, when we did the CadburyWorld refit. That's a pound coin for scale in the pic.

This skeet prompted my own chocolate reminiscences. Here's another.

Fun fact: there used to be a factory owned by Rose Bros here in our village, manufacturers of packing and wrapping machinery. Cadbury named the chocolates after the machine makers. And years later we made giant models of the chocolates...

Assorted giant-sized chocolate displays for Cadburyworld, Birmingham. Flake made from resin-soaked velvet curtains and aluminium sheet; glass and a 1/2 sale point from mdf, body filler, steel and acrylic; fridge surrounds block moulded in resin; giant Roses chocs screen-printed on foil and foam.

This One, you mean? 😉

Also, the Mail reproduces the survivor's boarding pass with the caption "lucky ticket", like it got him entry to Cadburyworld for free or something. Tonally awful.

It's a chocolate Christmas tree!

Hi Magic

Lots of upheaval here with a sickly hoom, but we soldier on. We are hoping to make the tweetup, sorry, Skylark at CadburyWorld on Sunday

I gripe about this century but a massive plane just flew over the house so low it could've landed at Cadburyworld, and within ten mins I'd discovered how to track it on radar then seen it land and immediately take off again at BHX, later looping over me again, on a training flight from Brize Norton.

you called?

to be fair, you can buy foil (both lead and aluminium) in several thicknesses - we used a 0.75mm thick roll for this display piece - but wine cork seals are available more easily 😉

One of my all time favourite dreams was when I dreamt that a 'Paynes Poppets' theme park had opened by my house. It was like #CadburyWorld but all the rides etc were Poppets themed. It was amazing. No idea why my brain decided on that cracker but here we are.

It is unwise to taunt a chocoholic with lines of cocoa.

My tolerance of the substance is World Renowned & the owners of CadburyWorld can attest to my capacity for over consumption.

Get thee behind me, thy trail is but mere trifle.

Yes but can we get the people who love to ban children from cycling to school and their attraction @cadburyworld.bsky.social to do the same? Still on their website it's 'car, plane, canal and train' but no cycling!
