Remember...

Prop 40 is a ONE-TIME retroactive tax.

It applies ONLY to billionaires and would tax just 5% of their wealth — which grew 30% in 2025.

California's billionaires would still be worth $2T+ AFTER the tax.

The revenue will fund healthcare for millions of Californians.

Vote YES.

Do Californians realize that if they passed their insane Proposition 40 wealth tax, I'd be left with only 230.7 billion dollars?

Trump is holding back $2.8 BILLION in California home-care funding, threatening 930,000 elderly and disabled people. This isn't fiscal responsibility. It's GOP cruelty weaponized against Californians who need care. #DV1 #ProudBlue #Voices4Victory #USDemocracy www.chcf.org/resource/202...

Hey Californians:

@timdickinson.bsky.social is here to help you make sense of Props 40, 41 and 42. It’s pretty simple. ⬇️

🚨BREAKING: In a major win for voters, the 9th Circuit for a second time rejected the Trump administration's bid to disenfranchise 20k Californians it alleges are noncitizens.

Despite the sequential losses, the DOJ is still expected to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Real talk: I don't think most Californians understand the devastation wrought by Prop 13.

The older generation that voted for it blames everything on WASTE and FRAUD.

The younger generations doesn't know what it missed out on (tuition free Cal, school buses, etc)
California saw the devastation wrought by Prop 13 and said, "More, please."

No Donald. Californians hate your guts!

California’s billionaires have a combined net worth of $2.4 trillion.

Under Prop 40, their net worth would fall to…just under $2.3 trillion.

What amounts to a rounding error for them would allow millions of their fellow Californians to afford healthcare.

Vote yes on Prop 40.

November 3 is just days away.

Some thoughts on my Substack about why Californians should vote YES for Proposition 40 and NO on Props 41 and 42. (And why I’m disappointed with Gavin Newsom.) ⬇️

Californians are often asking, whatever happens to the bond funding they support. Here’s the answer for Prop 1 (2023):

6,948 new residential treatment beds — that’s 102% of the original goal.

27,868 outpatient treatment slots — that’s 104% of the original goal.

"We will not be intimidated by agents with guns for simply doing our jobs." Francisco Diaz runs elections for 40,000 Californians. He could have kept his head down. He filed a sworn statement instead. What it won: www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/trump-went...

In one year, through our program and partnerships with organizations statewide, we’ve provided treatment to tens of thousands of Californians and preventative education to 100,000+ school-aged youth.

BREAKING: In a win for voters, a judge blocked the Trump administration from disenfranchising 21k Californians it claims may be noncitizens.

The judge wrote the administration's "flawed" list of alleged noncitizens risks "preventing lawful votes from being cast."

MAJOR MILESTONE!

Prop 1 has now DELIVERED more than 2,900 PERMANENT HOMES for Californians, including our brave veterans.
This July, California counties will receive $1 BILLION under Prop 1 to expand affordable housing and provide vital services for those experiencing homelessness and living with behavioral health challenges.

No more excuses. Let's see these tax dollars put to work.
