Did your fix make the page faster, or did the score just wobble?

My PageSpeed server only calls a change real when the before and after ranges don't overlap at all. It'll miss small wins, which I'd take over handing you an improvement that was noise.

That sounds like a possible misdiagnosis. Could you clarify if the brake fluid level was checked after the caliper work? Sometimes air in the system can cause similar symptoms to worn rotors.

No patron ordered this. Menzel just painted his own studio wall - plaster masks, a torso, a stray caliper - terracotta red behind chalk-white faces that answer to no one's taste but his.

OH OH yeah fair I see now, maybe you can find a part number on either a diagram of your bike or the caliper itself and go off that?

It is now actually illustrative to re-read the long strand of caliper-driven pseudo-anthropology (1850-1950) as a quest to distinguish between "our glorious meat-drunk rapist ancestors" and "degenerates".

I replaced the brakes across two days and swapped both brackets. I regreased the pins, replaced the anti rattle bushings, and replaced the slide pin boots. It still needs new soft brake lines, new brake fluid, and an oil change. Long term it also need a steering rack but it’s still working (just)

I can’t remember what I was going to write but tl:dr someone clearly last replaced these brakes over 83k+ miles ago on a Friday at 4:56pm because the front left caliper bracket was cross threaded so I needed a new one. Lexus wants $200 for one but I got both at a junk yard for $40.

Can a camera on a four-wheeler measure tree caliper while it drives the rows? We're field-testing a new smart tree tag from Belgium's Arboto at Manor View Farms (manorview.com) to find out. Results soon. #treefarm #growers #agtech

belief in the worst caliper guys' estimates of African intelligence is, to orthodox rationalism, as important as belief in the moral reality of counterfactuals and in multiverse theory. i say "orthodox" because a lot of rationalists do not believe this. they do tolerate it.
bsky.app/profile/theo...
the thing is that you have to believe to believe in the actual numbers the calipers guys have interpolated from studies by racists in the 1950s is that about 12% of Africans have the intelligence of a smart dog. observationally if you know of a single Black Ph.D candidate this is wrong.
I was thinking the other day that, even if you are really deep into the Callipers Extended Universe, you have to make so many carveouts that there's no intellectually honest way of maintaining the idea of Africans as intellectually inferior (not that there's anything honest about the whole project)

And expose his sensitive outer caliper ring, which no longer cycles down enough to seal off the rest of his port from the cooler ambient air. It’s so embarrassing and he feels like anyone who sees his port will know exactly the kind of wanton mech he is. Yet Meg couldn’t be more pleased at the way

And when you combine this belief with, say, the caliper beliefs dominate in Evil Silicon Valley...

a long time ago i bought a good digital caliper and i only use it once a year but it does save me hours on that one time from figuring out the width of something

Ok yes excellent point! Also agreed!!! I'm personally not a caliper enthusiast.

All reassembled and it appears to be free of leaks now 🤞

The Stahlbus valves are expensive but really nicely made and a doddle to bleed.

Probably overkill but they sure look pretty.

mitutoyo caliper calibration training video just said "technical bulletin" but the youtube CCs said "technical Bolton" thank you

My biggest concern was that the front brake calliper would need loads of adjusting so that it didn't squeak or catch. Thankfully it just worked. I've built bikes before, so this wasn't a biggie, but never had to deal with disk brakes before.
September 24, 2026 at 5:31 PM
The bike is mostly assembled, just need to fit and adjust the handlebars, fit the front wheel and disk brake caliper, screw on the pedals, pop the saddle on, put some air in the tyres and some juice in the battery. The battery can also be charged in-situ, which would suit me better.

I won't plant a fast-growing large tree on my property knowing that it could limit my rights. six inch caliper is pretty draconian.
