Waffles lets me pet her maaaybe 1x/day if I’m lucky. I love this little house goblin so much. (Waffles is kind of a legend by this point. Everyone celebrates when we get to pet her. Our friends gasp if they get to see her.😂

Non black cats I've had are Cotton (Siamese), Chamois (tabby), Paisley (calitabby) and Jute (Siamese). Jute is 19 and sleeps a lot but yells at me when I've left the house for a few hours.

I had to let my almost 18 y.o. cat go today. Ultrasound this morning showed a large bladder tumor impinging on her ureters, and peritonitis possibly due to a rupture in her bladder.
Sleep well, sweet Paisley. It will be so quiet around here without you.

Paisley, my 17 y.o. cat, decided to lick her side raw in mid-March. A steroid shot and a couple weeks of antibiotics have worked, and the fur is growing back in. Meanwhile her left front paw had a claw that grew around and into her little toe bean.
