Every square holds inside it a fragment of tiles and tangram mismatched. "We're intertwined, you and I." A disentanglement puzzle of two nails curved around each other like a knot. 4 panels "I cannot sleep" A shadow woven from the words "Icannotsleep" casts above the unmade bed "I cannot forget" Naked feet walk down the stairs, casting shadows on the wall woven from "cannotforget" "I cannot fix" A hand presses on the light switch, casting shadows downwards woven from the words "cannotfix" "what's already dead" A window referencing Duchamp's "fresh widow". Its 8 smaller windows reveal only pitch-black. A softer shadow casts on it in the form of a person woven from the words "alreadydead" 4 open panels "But I can mend my wounds" A grid with one red horizontal line. "accentuate them; open them to a fiery red" in red. The same image as before is superposed by a pattern made of mazes, crosswords and disentanglement puzzles "Engrave your enigma with my thread" is red and black. The image grows, sprawling outwards with more symmetrical patterns made out of tiles and crossword parts. The red line is now on every side. "Unravel the link that connects us And sew it once again" red and black, deeper. Further superposing includes diagonals and a square at the center begins to form. 4 panels At the center 4 small squares from the jigsaw puzzle. On all sides, multiple small jigsaw puzzles further complicate and shape the image. "Until I weave a cloth to wear upon my face each day" "So the world will see me through it; and, through it, I will see as well" The last image repeats, now darker and further superposed by the profile of a man, my dad, on all 4 corners. The result looks like an old tablecloth or black veil.
