Two Canadianair CRJ-900 jets operated by Endeavor Air collided on the taxiway at LaGuardia Airport at 9:58 p.m., injuring one person with non-life-threatening wounds.

Two planes have collided on the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The incident occurred at about 9.56pm (local time) on Wednesday, and involved two Canadianair CRJ-900 regional jets operated by Delta Airlines subsidiary Endeavor Air. ### TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say It is understood both aircraft were taxiing at low speed when they crashed. Footage of the incident showed one of the planes missing a wing after the collision. A spokesman for the airport told GB News: "A single person onboard one of the aircraft suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital as a precautionary measure." Delta Airlines later confirmed to GB News the person injured was a flight attendant, and no passengers sustained any injuries. They also confirmed that one of the planes was outbound and one was inbound. ### ### Photos of the aircraft also showed significant damage to at least one of the planes' noses and emergency services at the scene. The airport spokesman added: "Passengers were deplaned on the taxiway and transferred via buses back to Terminal C. "There was no impact to airport operations. Preliminary information indicated that the wing of the departing aircraft made contact with the fuselage of the arriving aircraft. In a statement Delta added: "Delta teams at our New York-LaGuardia hub are working to ensure our customers are taken care of after two Delta Connection aircraft operated by Endeavor Air were involved in a low-speed collision during taxi ### "Delta will work with all relevant authorities to review what occurred as safety to our customers and people comes before all else. "We apologise to our customers for the experience."
