Couldn’t leave the West Mids without a potter on the #BCN The stunning Titford Pump House #Oldbury Grade II listed built in the 1830s to ensure adequate water supply to a flight of 6 locks still functioning (electric) and HQ of the BCN Society.

The 690 yards long tunnel is 19’ high x 5’ wide. It was worked via 3 construction shafts and blasted through solid route in the early 19th century #canalheritage

Blackpole Wharf buildings for #AllMetalMonday on the #Birmingham to #Worcester Canal site used for munitions in both World Wars later Cadbury’s followed by commercial boat yard now ready mix concrete (Catherine’s south expect some pics from the English Midlands)

Just round the corner from Miner St is this wonderful little ‘coal related’ gem the Grade II former Boatman’s Mission built 1900/01 located at #Birchills on the #Walsall branch of the Birmingham Canal to cater for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of the boatmen #canalheritage
