Capcom open-sourced RE:Dox, the C# data library behind its next RE Engine upgrade. It's Apache 2.0.

It reads and writes JSON5, CBOR, MessagePack and more, and keeps the comments in hand-edited files.

The catch: it needs .NET 10, so no Unity yet.

Capcom open-sourced a piece of RE Engine. Here's what you can use
RE:Dox, the data library behind Capcom's next engine upgrade, is free under Apache 2.0. It needs .NET 10, which rules out Unity for now.

especially with the back half of Season 3 going into Season 4, it's been something of a gas leak year for Capcom's fighting game department

We 100% need more licensed/open source engines tbh.

Capcom's REX Engine and RedEngine are great to make mods for. Godot and Flax Engine have nice console support.

Didnt try bevy engine yet and Source 2 being tied to "s&box" sucks.

I mostly know Jedah from Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, and even from that alone plus the small bits I’ve heard of his lore I can just tell this guy is one of Capcom’s best and coolest villains!

The Resident Evil remakes are great on Switch 2, even if RE4 unsurprisingly isn't a perfect 60 FPS experience. My analysis for @gamewatcher.com: www.gamewatcher.com/resident-evi...

The first reactions to Paramount Pictures‘ Street Fighter, the latest big screen adaptation of Capcom‘s iconic video game, are out and, well, if you’re into dumb fun, then the film might be right up your alley.

Apparently they do this thing when after a project is over: the have the audacity to not fire everyone who worked on it, and instead move them onto other projects.

Yet to understand how Capcom’s strategy helps shareholders not pay their employees.

"Maybe I could go for a Capcom Creators Program partnership," I say to myself between public criticisms of Capcom's flagship titles and marketing department.

IN MY DEFENSE, I am doing it out of love, these are merely suggestions, not accusations or attacks, I promise!

Here's a Banger. The Mega Drive got a port of Capcom's Ghouls and Ghosts on August 3. This is the definitive home console version of this franchise at this point. It is so good.

I mean, you don't *have* to be huge to kick the Hulk's ass, but it doesn't hurt.

I love Capcom's version of Juggy, especially when he's facing off with their downlow Spidey. He's monstrous, which is even cooler when he's trying to break good. I'm always for rehabilitating bullies.

Capcom's Willow is one of the hidden gems on the Famicom/NES. It combines the layout and combat style of The Legend of Zelda with the level up and magic systems of Zelda 2. It is kind of the best of both. You should give this a try. Released in Japan on July 18.
