Israel threatens to 'act against Britain' if London imposes sanctions on illegal E1 settlement project Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar says that the country will use "tools" to act against the United Kingdom if it issues sanctions on Israel's illegal E1 settlement project. "If Britain acts against Israel, Israel will act against Britain," the minister said to Israeli news outlet Ynet. Sa'ar's threat comes shortly after UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband told British lawmakers that London will set out a "comprehensive" package of measures on Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, saying that Israel's action "risks making a Palestinian state unviable" "There is a government there that is systematically acting against Israel," Sa'ar re-marked. "It has already harmed defence exports to us and imposed sanctions on ministers. What guides it is its domestic politics, and at the end of the month the Labour Party conference is convening." He added that London will "be making a major mistake" if it acts.
