My cardiac unit used to reliably be age 55+ but now we pretty much always have people in their 30’s and 40’s and if you ask me it isn’t a secret why that is 😩
A review of 110 studies suggests Long COVID may accelerate biological aging and cardiovascular disease in younger adults.

Persistent viral RNA and immune activation may drive chronic inflammation, vascular damage, and cellular dysfunction.

Energy drinks and stimulant-packed supplements may put young adults at greater risk for heart problems, including cardiac arrest, according to new research presented at the American Heart Association’s annual meeting.
Energy drinks linked to higher risk of cardiac arrest in young adults, study finds
Adverse events related to the heart were far more common for energy drinks and stimulant supplements than other FDA-regulated products.

[Medical BS]

I had another doctor tell me that the recent rise in cardiac conditions is all because of the COVID *vaccine*

Yes, in rare cases some folks get pericarditis or other vaccine injuries

BUT the virus itself also targets receptors key to cardiac function??

MCT1-dependent mitochondrial lactate import sustains cardiac metabolism - Nature
In mouse myocardium, glucose oxidation persists in the absence of the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier, with mitochondrial MCT1 importing lactate into mitochondria and LDHB oxidizing it to pyruvate and NADH, sustaining cardiac energetics and preventing stress-induced heart failure.

Senator Murphy publicly announced he had COVID in April 2022 & in August 2023. Studies have found that people who’ve had COVID (nearly everyone by now) are twice as likely to have a major cardiac event, such as a heart attack, stroke or even death, for up to three years after infection.
November 1, 2026 at 10:46 PM
"Although covid is transmitted through the respiratory system, much of the pathology unfolds in the vascular system, with microvascular damage, thromboinflammation, and dysregulated perfusion underpinning the cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological manifestations of severe disease."
