Deze prachtige passant, de #Zwartkopvuurkever ( #PyrochroaCoccinea) met de bijzondere Engelse naam Black-headed #CardinalBeetle, poseerde heel rustig in een plant. Kijk ook even naar de verfijnde antennes. Wat een juweel, zo'n diertje!

Saturday I went to Lewes for a talk on wilding your garden. The venue was in a small nature reserve next to the railway and on the walk back to the station I found these two amazing beetles on the path, a #CardinalBeetle and a #StagBeetle (taken with an old manual focus Nikkor 55m macro lens).
