For all its mediocrity, Cardliver Kakeru does rank *really* high on the feminism scale. Honestly they shoulda just called the show Cardliver Ai. She's clearly the star here.

Nevertheless, I'm dropping the show at episode 29 because there are better things I could be watching. 🫡

Up until the latest 3-parter, it felt like Cardliver could be replaced with pretty much any other hobby and there would be no changes to the flow. I see why this show has been mostly forgotten... but I'm still gonna see how far I can get. I seem to have a higher tolerance for boring TCG shows.

Looks like this is a three-parter where they don't play the game at all, but instead interact with the monsters in the wild. Always welcome to have these breaks.

Cardliver cards are made by touching a blank card to an individual monster, which is very unfortunately called "mounting". Hm.
