A detailed black and white woodcut-style illustration of a vintage carnival fortune-telling automaton machine. The wooden cabinet features an arched top with the text "KNOW YOUR FATE" displayed in bold lettering against a dark background. Inside the glass-fronted cabinet sits a mechanical humanoid figure with an serene, feminine face and articulated metal arms and hands. The automaton is surrounded by intricate clockwork gears visible on the sides and behind the figure. A radiant burst of light emanates from above the figure's head, creating a halo-like effect. The mechanical fortune teller leans over a small shelf where several tarot cards are laid out, with one articulated hand hovering over them. A glowing crystal ball rests to the right side of the cards. Hanging crystal pendants and sparkling star accents decorate the interior. The side panels of the cabinet reveal additional gears and crystal balls. The entire piece is rendered in fine crosshatching and engraving techniques, evoking the aesthetic of antique carnival automata and Victorian-era mechanical curiosities.
