And that's another success in the bag for CAS Space! The launch occurred at 03:44 UTC and at least 1 of the 8 satellites on board is for the large Jilin-1 Earth observation satellites constellation (High Resolution-07C-04).

China on Friday launched a #Lijian1 Y13 carrier rocket from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China, delivering five satellites including Taijing-3 05A/05B, Tianyi-50, Tianyan-27, and Jilin-1 Gaofen-03D55 into their orbits. #Cas_Space

A 4th one will head to orbit just a bit of km away 2 days later at Jiuquan SLC, May 15 ~04:30 UTC towards SSO, and drop zones' locations point to this as CAS Space's next Kinetica 1, which went to JSLC weeks ago.

I guess this is a sponsor deal rather than a bank (at least this is a big Chinese one) getting their own (Earth observation ones of Jilin-1 from Changguang Satellite I guess since it’s their big logo on the fairing) LOL.

Interesting to see pintle injectors being used on a pressure-fed (and if I read correctly, hypergolic fuel) cycle upper stage engine.

That engine features the first pintle injector in a Chinese rocket engine according to the company (Sounds familiar? It was used on the other launch of today just 2 minutes after this).

At this point you might ask: where are the landing legs on the tri-core booster? Well @cas_space has decided to concentrate on getting a workable launcher 1st, and as of 2 years ago they already planned not to attempt 1st stage recovery till at least 2028.
