There is a Cassano's literally next door to Jay & Mary's Book Center, and a Marion's almost directly across the street, so, yes, if Dayton-style pizza (yes, it's an actual thing) is what you crave, go to the bookstore and pick up some pizza time reading as well.

While I am sad about the dissolution of my marriage for many reasons (even as we have remained and will remain amicable), I am particularly sad that I no longer have reason to visit Dayton/Middletown and get Marion’s/Cassano’s/Jug/Central Pastry.

Cassano's can be really good (the excessive salt on the bottom is delicious) but they almost always put way too much sauce on it for my taste.

I love living in Cincinnati and there’s great food to be had…
But pizza? When it comes to pizza?
I will just say I was spoiled growing up in the Dayton area with Dayton-style piazza shops everywhere
(mostly Marion’s and Cassano’s)
Cincinnati doesn’t have anything on Dayton when it comes to pizza
