I took my new little friends to recycle bottles and cans today then a quick trip to the park. I offered to take them shopping with their new found wealth ($10 each) but they decided to keep it to buy treats at school. Very impressed. I showed them what "Catheads" look like before they split into 3.

Biggest biscuits ever. Frozen Catheads. Ten biscuits weighed 6 lbs. When we cooked them, they rose so tall that we had to break them in half to get them done. They were delicious and the gravy made them even tastier. Tasty with the country ham. We ate less than half. Hopefully they warm up well.

Little air-dry clay catheads as cabochons, minimal beading, because I made plenty of those and never thought about what to do with them. So cabochon it is 😅

This reconstruction has a lot of flaws, but every reconstruction of the Tessarakonteres or the "40" of Ptolemy IV seems to overlook the fact that Athenaeus claims it has SEVEN naval rams—one larger than the others, followed by several positioned at the catheads. A true Hellenistic monstrosity.

OG catheads know that Remeraux's is Poseidon. I picked it initially for her ties to the ocean, and the vibe of giving the name of a very patriarchal kinda god to a woman. She's the biggest example of the roster of her ancient self being a completely different vibe match than her modern counterpart
