The difference between men and women in comedy is that BROAD CITY (and to an extent PARKS & REC?) have to be "relitigated" for saying, essentially, "early-00s liberalism ...good!" while SOUTH PARK just keeps on existing as its literal philosophical catechumen are currently dismantling our government

We have another new catechumen!
We participated in an ecumenical Epiphanytide service at Carleton tonight—the evangelical, Episcopal, and RC groups collaborated. I celebrated the Eucharist and a couple of the students preached. We also admitted a catechumen which was pretty cool given the ecumenical nature of the assembly! 🕯️

it's probably safest to say most Romans had some kind of Christian affiliation (w flexible parameters) by late 300s/early 400s. "conversion" might mean just enrolling as a catechumen (and nothing else) all the way to becoming a monk

there's some truth to that and the permanent catechumen stuff was universal (which also exempted them from the inquisition, though) but it was also the dominicans who resisted militarization the longest. i also would deny that it was purely order-based, 'purity of blood' was not systematized

Furthermore, if you pop into a church during or after any baptism then the water in the font or baptistery is automatically holy water (if you still want to use it after a baby/catechumen has been in it...)

We have a new catechumen!
Meeting with a guy who wants to become a catechumen and his wife. So now we're planning a convalidation, baptisms of two kids and another on the way, and an acceptance into the catechumenate. I love it. These people are a bonanza of Catholic ceremony.
