#Catullus
Naturally many references to Catullus.

It did not phase my students that I could quote and translate profanity from Catullus from memory.

Edited a senior lawyer’s brief and took out the split infinitives and he send back a text rant about Latin and he brought up Catullus first but I brought up Catullus 16 first, in case you want to know what it’s like to work here

In case you're looking for a good time, it's Verona with the Catullus airport
From today Milan Malpensa Airport is officially named after Silvio Berlusconi.
For reference, other Italian airports are named after Leonardo Da Vinci, Marconi, Bellini, Pythagoras, Verdi, Columbus, Caravaggio, Galileo, Marco Polo, Catullus, Pertini, Falcone & Borsellino.

I'm waiting to see Nolan's take on Catullus 16
Are there any other poems that have been made into films? Could Nolan have a crack at "This is just to say"?

When Woke 2.0 kicks off we're going to make these guys read the full text of Catullus Clockwork Orange style with their eyelids pulled back

These sorts of ritualised humiliation seem to have happened throughout the ages so far as I can tell, there's very little difference between JK Rowling saying "Trans Women are Men" and Catullus in the 1st Century BCE making up a trans woman character and calling her a "Spurious Woman" in Catullus 63

Gregg Araki's "Catullus 16"
Chris Nolan has just made The Odyssey, but what other classical works should be made into films, and who should direct them?

Greta Gerwig’s Antigone

The Coen Brothers’ Metamorphoses

Alfonso Cuarón’s Iliad

as catullus once wrote, Ista cum lingua, si usus veniat tibi, possis
Culos et crepidas lingere carpatinas.
Writing lesson n+1: This isn't Latin, this is English. Word order matters.

I hope you're smiling at this very amusing and utterly trivial little thing.

No more of this queer woke garbage, let’s all read Catullus.

I’ve been immersed in Theodosian Code since May, but awoke to find Prof. @stephaniemccarter.bsky.social ’s new Catullus translation. It’s amazing to see a person you admired as an undergraduate at UVA now killing it as a classicist & translator. Amo et Amo. www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/667356...

I beg your finest pardon?

Catullus would have had the bitchiest drama channel on YouTube
Melville would’ve had an exceptionally chaotic LiveJournal
Charles Darwin would have had a Tumblr
