Update: I saw the surgeon.
Cellulitis. So, strong antibiotics to take.
Not actually related to the surgery or treatment. Just a coincidence that it's near a wound site. She thinks it might be an insect bite. Fingers crossed that the antibiotics do the trick.

Look at this glorious kitten. Grace from Illoura trapped her and thought she had a broken leg. UM no, it was cellulitis which is agonising and a very awful way to die, but antibiotics fixed it!
