a bit surreal: trying to get claude to go through an old bookmarks folder and now's he watching a cerebellum lecture on youtube in his little browser. my laptop started making noise and i didn't realize what was happening

Sounds like you need to watch it again, refresh that cerebellum.

Azevedo et al. counted 86.1 billion neurons in a human brain in 2009. The wrinkled cerebral cortex holds 16.3 billion. The small cerebellum tucked underneath holds 69.0 billion - 80% of the total. Did you assume the wrinkly part had most of them?

Temporal Pattern–Dependent Cerebellar Involvement in Conflict Processing: An Online Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Study - The Cerebellum
Introduction The cerebellum is increasingly recognized as a key contributor to cognitive control through interactions with distributed cerebello-cortical networks. Although online transcranial magneti...

I am thrilled to share our latest work in collaboration with Jinpeng Sun's lab! We find that C1ql1 is the ligand of GPR88 in the cerebellum, identify their roles in synapse regulation, and show a fascinating complex: GPR88/C1ql1/Bai3! scim.ag/3WfcTMz @BoZhang

We thought preterm birth stole time from the cerebellum, but our intrinsic timing still governs its development. #Science sugataai.com/blog/intrins...
Intrinsic gestational timing governs human cerebellar development after preterm birth
For decades, the medical community has operated under the grim assumption that preterm birth is a chaotic interruption, a violent wrench thrown into the biological clock of fetal development.

Foundation models are becoming remarkably reliable at high-level reasoning, yet they remain too slow and costly to serve as fine-grained controllers. Conversely, fast policies like VLAs and whole-body

Like, hypothetically, the real way to do a walking, talking robot is a bunch of AIs working together: one for each leg, one for each other, one to handle gross movement, one for perception, one for speech, and one to tie them together. This is basically how the human body works: your cerebellum

The OHBM Cerebellum SIG is officially launched! I'm very happy to see a group focused on all things cerebellum, given how often I find myself nerding out about all things cerebellum in my chats with people (sorry @ashleytyrer.bsky.social haha)!
🧠 Welcome the newest OHBM Special Interest Group: the Cerebellum SIG! 🎉

Bringing together experts worldwide to advance cerebellar imaging through research, collaboration, education, and mentorship.
