even better, this is a pure vintage mechanical (chainstitch) machine, so there's no computerization. Most embroidery you get these days comes from big computerized machines like the one below. This man is essentially free handing the embroidery. You love to see it!

I am hoping to make this more of a travel machine, should I need to take it anywhere. I guess my Kenmore is relatively light, as is my little chainstitch machine I haven't worked with yet, but idk I just find this thing cute. I'll take before/after pics once it's got its box back. It's cleaner now!

My last machine bought in 2025... a chainstitch machine! It weighs 7 lbs and is very tiny and cute deespite its ugly 30s/40s crinkle paint job.
