Been thinking about what to post for #MonochromeMonday, and I realized I'm about to finish my 10th roll of B&W film. So, over the week, I'll try to post a couple shots from each roll.

Situated under I-90 in Downtown Cleveland, two sets of tracks and a brick road from the old Central Viaduct. They head straight towards Progressive Field (The Jake) parallel to the Western Reserve Fire Museum. The right-of-way is mostly a pedestrian area, but part of it is street-side parking. The chairswing at Cedar Point situated between a sign post for Frontier Trail attractions and a couple thin trees. My cat, a tabby, looking away while sitting next to grass growing out of the a crack in the front patio. Leaves from the prior fall line the crack. A modern building with lots of window space. The shot is taken from behind some tall grass with two trees flanking it in the midground.

The park so far:
left-most area: entry plaza (featuring Grand Carousel). lower pathway, left-to-right: balloon stall, Wild Mouse, coffee shop, Ancient Tours. upper pathway: Lion's Mane (rotunda chairswing). the middle area is smaller than I thought and I do not get small turns on the car ride anymore, so I decided not to put one there. I may put some other smaller rides in the middle, I just have to figure out my other rides first and then pepper the rest in. (buildings are exceptions.)

My most ambitious project yet: a DOME. Buildings don't work well off the grid, so this is something around THIRTY "buildings" combined and moved around to various angles, and that INCLUDES the hedges. I didn't use the whole building out of plans to MAYBE integrate another ride around it later.
the park so far, with a branching path up to THE DOME. THE DOME. a bunch of marble arches, wooden roofs, and hedges surrounding a chairswing ride with queue path. nearly EVERY SINGLE ANGLE is a new building and, because I needed to make the roofs and hedges cover areas that the arches looked weird on, those are ALSO separate buildings even on the same angles that the arches are on! I may move some of the path later, but honestly... not a bad start for my first time working "off the grid" so to speak. THE DOME at night. while the chairswing does have some ambient lights, they don't really give the queue or surrounding area much light. so there is a chain of smaller wall lights around the top round of arches, and a few lampposts around the queue.

Turns out the fix my Mavica needed was just a battery charge. This camera can be annoying to use, but it's a very fun change of pace. And so much cheaper than film.
