Harmony trio The Chantells recorded several singles and a LP for the Phase One label in the late 70s.

They were then invited to London but were arrested carrying marijuana at Heathrow Airport. They never sang together again...

The Chantells were a revelation when I first heard them on Blood & Fire’s 1999 release, ‘Children of Jah - The Chantells & Friends 1977-79.’ Credit and much respect to Steve Barrow for unearthing this and so many other treasures on his B&F label.
