#CharlieCard
Anyone in Boston know which station vending machines provide this CharlieCard design??
When in doubt, ask for help!! Made my way to Charlie Service Center on Washington St. and they had the fifth design: current MA State House! My collection is now complete! 😭

My last resort idea is this: looking for three individuals in Boston who can visit this CharlieCard store on Washington St. in downtown and ask for two of the cards pictured below? 🙏🏽

The cards at the CharlieCard store in downtown are free of charge, but there’s a limit of 2 per customer. That’s why I can’t get multiple cards.

Apparently, this specific Boston CharlieCard design is so elusive that card collectors are only able to find it at the CharlieCard store in Downtown Crossing! 🫨 Sad that there’s a limit of 2 cards per customer. I need 7 more cards to give to friends back in LA! 😭

Currently in Boston. CharlieCard store in downtown refusing to sell these cards to me. Still looking for this card design. Please help! Anyone at MBTA??

Spent majority of my Boston trip finding a station with a CharlieCard vending machine that carried this particular design! 😭 Was able to get two cards at the Charlie Service Center but they said that there’s a limit of two cards per customer. If anyone can help me get more, would appreciate it!🙏🏽🙏🏽

Been on the lookout for commemorative CharlieCard designs all morning! But now it’s time for lunch! Hopping on the MBTA Green Line “B” Branch and riding it to Allston! 🚈

What do you need to do to get one? I haven't gotten a new CharlieCard since they started offering them at the machines. But I could probably take a detour to Haymarket on my Orange Line ride home from work tomorrow and grab you some if they're there

VENTING TIME!

It would be such a game changer if MBTA listed the stations where riders can get each commemorative CharlieCard design!! 😭

Here’s an example from when LA Metro released the D Line Extension Section 1 commemorative TAP Cards back in May 2026!!

I’m not sure which CharlieCard vending machine at Haymarket has this design I’m looking for (could be machine #221183) but a hack is that you can just add a minimum load of 25 cents and it’ll dispense the card!

In case you missed it, seniors who no longer drive can now apply for a CharlieCard that lets them ride the MBTA for free. Adults ages 75 and older who hold a Mass. identification card instead of a driver's license can apply for a Car-free Seniors CharlieCard.

9/20 In 2008, Boston’s transit authority used a court order to stop MIT students from speaking at DEF CON. In 2023, school students described disclosing CharlieCard flaws to the same authority without needing a legal team.

You could say the hackers won. Standing there, it felt as though finding bugs and talking about them had become normal: companies were more likely to pay for discoveries than sue […]

PCMF puts a few downrange: Friday, Snipers And Drones delivers precision threatcore from beyond this horizon. Saturday, Goatapult launches crwth-driven folk. Sunday, the bouba-kiki effect closes with synesthetic art-pop-pop-she-bop. Bring ear protection, a CharlieCard, and something plum-shaped.

I'm riding the T for the first time since before the pandemic, and apparently I had $25 on my CharlieCard.

Who fuckin' knew

@fullyabstract I would assume they could check the card number against fare records in the same way they'd check a CharlieCard, but I don't know for sure

I've been so excited about the new tier of discounts I'll be unlocking tomorrow, but it turns out that most of those discounts kicked in a few years ago. Surprise! Public transit systems seem to be the last, great holdouts. CharlieCard, I'm coming for ya! #ItsGoodToBeAlive

So I'm in Boston and every time I get on a green line train and tap the reader by the door, the screen turns red and says "Tap CharlieCard on farebox"
But the farebox by the driver is switched off and does nothing when you tap it.

I see Cubic is being Cubic.
