I get that chatfics have a very low bar of entry, but c'mon, just try at least
Where's the fun in a chatfic when everyone is out of character because the author just wants to make le funny references without even trying to match the author voice behind each character

I'm neutral on chatfics, mostly because I haven't seen a good one, but I see potential in the format.
Most chatfics I've seen are wildly out of character with no sense of direction, and, while that is fun for some people, it's not my cup of tea. 😔

i swear this fandom is so insanely disrespectful that it's no wonder the ao3 for it is a dustbowl of empty-minded chatfics and half-assed ripoffs, there is zero enjoyment in writing for this fandom at times.
