The opposite is super useful to do though! If you see an ad for something wholesome running against far-right dogshit, report it. Let the advertiser know their ads are being run against unsafe/brand-damaging content, so they can stop funding the far right. cf checkmyads, media matters etc.

If only there were a successor for CheckMyAds for the Modern American Fascism era. :(

Hit Meta where it hurts: in the advertisers.

I’ve got really bad news for Americans, Meta doesn’t give a fuck about you. Most of their user growth is in Asia (specifically India). The best way for you to affect Meta is to pressure brands to drop them for advertising.

Two more important follows for this Bluesky experiment: the always important Roger Macnamee / @moonalice.bsky.social, and Claire Atkin, @catthekin.bsky.social, partner with the @nandoodles.bsky.social at #CheckmyAds. They do important work for all of us. #FF

Saw this on @nandoodles.checkmyads.org's account on the old site, at this point people like Bongino are just actively refusing to admit that free speech doesn't work the way he wants it to right?

Also the duo behind checkmyads are good follows
