Teachers & SLT I’d like your opinion on trouser mending please.

I mend for our local clothing charity. We get a LOT of damaged clothing including school trousers that are thin or through the knee.

I follow many menders on Instagram who patch these.

My view is they wouldn’t be acceptable?
A picture of a school trouser leg which has been visibly machine patched at the knee. I feel some schools wouldn’t find this an acceptable mend. It could also trigger bullying? As a result I wouldn’t put it in a school uniform pack. Am I wrong? The photo is from a post by checkyourthread on instagram who is well worth following for ideas on making clothing last longer.
