My fandom doesn’t stretch quite that far but I did grow up watching Bernie Federko, Mike Liut et al play at the Checkerdome when I was a kid. Great memories from there and even better memories watching the fans in the stands. First time I yelled fuck you was at a Blues game. Thanks Aunt Lynne!

Wow amazing!!! Can’t remember the last time I’ve been to a hockey game. Houston Aeros? Lake Charles Ice Pirates? This might be 1st NHL game live since I saw Blues at the Checkerdome spring break 90. The short time I actually lived in STL season ending when I moved up, starting as I was leaving.

Give me back the Ralston-Purina Checkerdome
For most of its history the old arena in St Louis was officially called the Arena and briefly the CheckerDome when Ralston Purina owed it, both great options

Throwing it back to July 25, 1980, when Foghat rocked the Checkerdome in St. Louis! 🎸 Earlier that day, Lonesome Dave stopped by a local record store holding up a pair of "Tight Shoes" just hours before taking the stage.

Attending my first pro indoor soccer game since perhaps gradeschool. Thinking fondly back to the Steamers selling out the Checkerdome that held 22k people for the regular season. This is a playoff game at the Family Arena in St Chaz.

As a Chicagoan, Peter, you'll appreciate this one...
Steve Goodman opened for Steve Martin at the old Arena (Checkerdome) in St. Louis. I could have listened to Steve Goodman the whole time and Steve Martin could have taken the night off and relaxed.

Nice. The steep seats remind me of some of the old barns, like the St Louis Checkerdome.
