For my #RevPit book (ChemPortal) it was a concept. What if the fate of the world rested in the hands of chemists? Naturally, it became a sci-fi romcom.
My WIP (urban fantasy) was based on wordplay. "The walking dead" became The Running Dead and the zombies became track stars. Then I added vampires.
