hey if you're mad about Discord: XMPP and Matrix are two free decentralized chat programs that I use often. they're not Discord but they're close enough to use as a backup plan.

hey if you're mad about Discord: XMPP and Matrix are two free decentralized chat programs that I use often. they're not Discord but they're close enough to use as a backup plan.

Genau das meine ich. Bis man eine wirklich sichere App gefunden und sich durchprobiert hat, vergrault man die Bequemen.
Wir hatten auch erst Signal benutzt, sind jetzt aif Cheogram umgestiegen. Allerdings nur im kleinsten familiären Kreis. Dazu wirst du wohl nie alle ernsthaft bewegen können.😢

We are aware that Google has removed Cheogram Android from the Play Store. They have not given us any information about why yet, but we are working through the process. For now you can get the even better version from f-droid.org/en/packages/...

@Starcross :neocat_think: sorry, i have no clue. idk cheogram well, so i can't really tell where this exception originates from and where it hits its head with my server. would need to do some investigating, but i don't really have time for that rn

IIRC embeds/previews are usually rendered client-side, probably depending on MIME type sent by HTTP File Upload endpoint
as for custom emojis - Cheogram seems to be advertising support for them, but I couldn’t find any more info about it

IIRC embeds/previews are usually rendered client-side, probably depending on MIME type sent by HTTP File Upload endpoint
