I thought lockdown might have taught the rich to value those previously considered on the bottom rung - the cleaners, refuse collectors, nurses, chilcare workers and such, but sadly not. There are still idiots who believe they can thrive whilst the rest of society struggles to survive.

And most Danes are happy to pay high taxes because they can see they get in return: universal healthcare, free education & uni, education grants, subsidised chilcare, elder pensions & help in the home, 12 months statutory maternity leave that can be used up until the child turns 9, etc, etc.

Personally I want a LEADER-SPEAKER for our upcoming House Majority who SUPPORTS legislation aimed at Medicare for All, even if it won’t pass the Senate! Even if it got vetoed if it did! Maybe free chilcare for everyone earning <100,000 a year will have to wait to be passed until 2028, but START now!
