listening to essence! while sitting around a chimnea is nice, the only thing to make all of it better though would be to wear a liripipe and a pair of poulaines, maybe something gamboised across the corpus to send it home even if it thematicallt doesnt make sense

I too suffer the fuckery of someone burning shit a lot. It's a chimnea so comfortably middle class coded, but it's really no different to someone burning pallets in a galvanised bin.

I was looking at French houses online the other day (as one does) and there was one where they'd just stuck a garden-store chimnea into the fireplace as a kind of insert.

There isn't actually a law stating you can't burn stuff in the day (I've checked before); you just rely on people being considerate but this isn't garden waste or a chimnea. This is what it was like last week. God knows what it looks like today. And now they've started burning it.

I always take mine out for winter but wow! 😮 My chimnea is pegged into the ground after it blew over numerous times in the last storm(s) because the cover was becoming a balloon, BBQ may come a cropper but the cover is ripped so it's probably just blowing right thru.

Had a BBQ, first since 2024, not sure why, but didn't have one at all in 2025. I'm so rusty, I forgot to take a photo of the grill while the food was still on it...

Been about a year since our Ivy, at somewhere between 18 and 20, left us.
She loved sleeping in this chimnea so much that I had to evict her roommate, a beautiful Black Widow. They were both aggressive and dangerous and I had to pick one.
Love her forever.
