Another Chinese cliff

These cliffs could rise to the moon but if a Chinese actor falls from it the character survives no matter what!!

WHY doesn't he want as anyone else to save her?!

Kun'yomi (Native Japanese readings): The Japanese applied native Japanese spoken words to the imported Chinese characters based on meaning (for example, the character for water is read with its native Japanese word rather than the Chinese sound).

Its the character based language.

It's not "smarter" in brain intelligence. Learning Chinese characters develops visual-spatial and pattern-recognition skills differently than alphabetic writing systems.

METROYou may not know it, but the anime show you're watching may be part of the curriculum for a college literature class. Even dragon ball and monkey magic In fact, it may give you an idea of the literature. Both shows have characters based on Monkey, a character from a story Wu Cheng-en based on ancient chinese legend Journey to the Westwhich traces the origins of Buddhism.

Preview offering to help me create an event based on this phrase in the commentary in an 1816 edition of three-character re-imagining of the Sacred Edict.

Great question! When exactly should I be practicing filial piety? Do I have time in my busy day?

I remember coming across "Sold a Story" a couple years ago and my first thought was "how did someone get the idea to teach English as if it were a character-based language?"

Even Chinese has been taught with phonics for a few decades now!

農曆新年期間,家家戶戶貼春聯、掛揮春,其中最有趣的習俗之一,就是把「福」字倒過來貼。看似貼錯方向,原來是利用「倒」與「到」的諧音,把「福倒」理解成「福到」。 During Chinese New Year, the character “Fu”, meaning blessing or good fortune, is often displayed upside down. It may look like a mistake, but the tradition is based on a playful Chinese pun: “Fu is upside down” sounds like “Fu has arrived”.

oh i love that shit. just once or twice I've recognised one in Chinese movie dialogue (like referring to a historical character) that doesn't get spelled out in the subs, and that feels magical. my bff explained that China is an entirely pun-based culture where you have to know all the references

if it makes you feel better, the same phenomenon exists for people who write in character based languages (like japanese and chinese). they forget how to handwrite more complex characters.

Now this talk about dyslexia is making me wonder how it shows up with people reading Chinese characters. Since each character is different and not based on letters, but rather stroke counts. This is my touch of tism showing. I get fascinated by these type of things.
