Just finished THEM by W.H. Chizmar. A really good, extremely self-assured post-apocalyptic novel that goes in directions you might not expect. Chizmar’s prose is really good and evocative, and the whole thing has interesting things to say about humanity and life.

Chizmar keeps conveniently "finding" copies of the sold out (crappy) Southern Reach limited edition he did and selling them, to promote his own books and sometimes w/ monies sent right to his own venmo. These could be PC (publisher) copies, and I can't stop him, but I'd prefer you not buy them.

Stephen King came to the reading tonight. And I very nearly almost didn’t cry. Held it together to the point that people after were like you did such a good job not crying!
