done a peds LP with sedation with anesthesia help for meningitis due to age, transferred an acute choledocholithiasis with pancreatitis, reset a dislocated mandible. Admitted a lower GI bleed on xarelto, a super sick septic recurrent UTI.

The way you butchered “Muskegon” in a way only someone with a $180k+ education, who can say choledocholithiasis 5 times in rapid succession uncaffeinated, nearly had me do a spit take on my keyboard.

#OTILT Cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis may sound alike, but they’re different! Cholelithiasis is stones in the gallbladder. Choledocholithiasis is when stones move into the common bile duct and cause blockages

Choledocholithiasis
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

Could you tell me in which context we’re using that acronym?

My claim to fame is being able to spell choledocholithiasis, no sweat. Just don't ask me to spell hemorrhoids.

"pregnant women" is honestly an awkward inconsistency from the rest of medical terminology anyway. its awkward and clunky by default!

doctors will still call you, individually, a woman the same way they'll say "gallbladder stones" instead of "choledocholithiasis"

I had an interesting discussion with a colleague today regarding role of ERCP vs lap chole + CBDE for choledocholithiasis on US/MRCP. We have shifted toward favoring a surgery first approach with 90% success rate. Curious to hear thoughts on this? What is your practice? #surgerysky #Medsky #GIsky
