These sautéed mushrooms are the quintessential topping for all types of steak. Also excellent on baked potatoes. I have people calling me and asking me for the recipe even years after I have made them for them. They are that good!

Have you tracked down the source of her digestive issues? I had a Dobie like that and it took MONTHS for me to realize that he couldn't digest pork so no more ham/bacon/pork chops "treats" for him. That and a round of live-culture yogurt helped IMMENSELY. (He was also afraid of the rain)

Thoughts on finally seeing Stapleton, having missed the chance years ago to see him at small Birchmere venue: Voice, obviously, is a marvel. It’s nice to see young people as into it as the old heads. Songs are good, if ordinary. His guitar chops aren’t *quite* good enough to just the long jams.
