Why Christians should not imagine the dead interacting with us, how Scripture guards us from giving them godlike powers, and where real comfort is found when we mourn.

Remember those old commercials about the show hole? It is that empty feeling you get when you finish a long series, scroll through your streaming options forever, and realize nothing feels worth watching. While that experience is common, many of us are dealing with something much deeper: a friend hole. In this tender and deeply relatable episode of Faith and Tech Bytes with Amy Lynn, Amy Lynn shares the quiet pain of a longtime friendship fading away. There was no big fight and no major drama just a distance that grew until the texts eventually stopped. In this installment of Faith and Tech Bytes with Amy Lynn, we explore how our phones can feel heavier and quieter at the same time when a human connection drifts away. We have all been there. Whether a friendship ends abruptly or simply moves away, it leaves a void that nothing on Netflix or Disney Plus can fill. But here is the beautiful faith and tech connection: when the notifications go silent, God never does. We look at the powerful promise in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and the assurance in Deuteronomy 31:8 that He will never leave you nor forsake you. Unlike a streaming service, Gods presence requires no subscription, has no monthly fee, and never suffers from a buffering signal. He is a 24/7 companion who is always ready to step into the empty spaces of our lives. By tuning into Faith and Tech Bytes with Amy Lynn, you will discover two tiny tech habits to help you invite Jesus into that friend hole. First, we suggest using your notes app as a digital prayer altar. When the ache of loneliness hits, type out a quick prayer asking God to fill the empty space with His presence. Having that saved on your device allows you to reread it whenever the quiet feels too loud. Second, we discuss setting a daily phone reminder titled Gods with me for the specific time of day you used to text that friend. Let that notification ping serve as a reminder to whisper a prayer of gratitude for the One who calls you friend. Show holes are eventually filled by the next bingeable series, but friend holes only truly heal when we let the Creator step in. If a drifting friendship or a lost connection has left your screen feeling too quiet and your heart feeling too heavy, this episode of Faith and Tech Bytes with Amy Lynn offers the gentle biblical comfort and practical steps you need to feel His nearness. Tonight, if your apps feel empty, close the screen and open your heart. Tune in now for the faith and tech encouragement that reminds you that you are never, ever truly alone.
