#Christlike
But for real: the most Christlike people I’ve ever known displayed their devotion in their actions and how they treated others, they’d talk religion with you if you’d asked, but they didn’t beat you over the head with it. You can live and spread the message, but far too few live it.

Sir, My husband's family has a farm in Northern Indiana. They are Republicans like you. I'm an East Coast Flaming (like my late Mother) my entire life. I'm in my 80's and I just wanted you to know not all Democrats are gay. And for that matter why should you hate them? Not Christlike at all is it?

Internationally they say it's a crime against humanity but the Extreme Court doesn't see it that way.

The White Kkkristian Nationalists aren't very christlike

These Muslims keep behaving in a more Christlike way than the Republicans. It can’t be that Conservative Christians are GIANT HYPOCRITES… can it?

that moment when trans Pagans act more christlike than a self proclaimed "christian"

I am not surprised. These are the same kind of men who majority voted to put a pedophile, child molester, and rapist in the Oval Office. They know they no longer have to pretend they care about people, so are showing their true colors now. And there is nothing Christlike about them.

debates over the singularity of the shoah seem to miss that without a myth of the singularity of the shoah antisemitism becomes acceptable. Jews are either christlike or the people who killed him, you are not now and never will be capable of viewing us any other way.

i guess folsom has turned a new leaf in recent years. i saw many “chastity devices,” - things that were actually PREVENTING people from having sex. interested to see how this new pious and christlike version of folsom develops. amen

Yes, even non-Christians like, say, me.

If more Christians were Christlike—and less like, say, Elon Musk or Donald Trump—we might not be facing multiple apocalyptic scenarios.

But instead, we have “muscular Christianity” that wages “spiritual warfare” and agitates against “prey morality.” 🤦‍♀️

"There has never been a 'Christian nation,' if by Christian we mean Christlike. But there have been many antichrist ones."

How Do We Recover the Politics of Jesus?
My new book, Defying Tyrants, is one attempt.

saw Primetime. fascinatingly non-diegetic and stylised for something based on a true story, and in doing so goes for an anamorphic take on post-9/11 reality tv moral vindication with a christlike missionary resolution to cleanse evil and sickness. there's some real horror too, and a ruthless pace.

Thank you.
You gave the most wonderful gift possible and took upon yourself the most grievous pain.
There’s no more Christlike act a person can do.

i feel like when you read the gospels it feels pretty okay because he does seem to be genuinely a perfect truthful judge or whatever

but if the spiritual path is supposed to be about becoming more christlike he sure seems to have a lack of advice on attaining that bit

dawg this pope gotta stop being so profoundly moral and christlike it's making it hard to be a Poster

You call us, Lord Jesus
to be more like you,
to become Christlike;
keep us from merely
echoing aspects of your way,
as if an impression of you
is enough to fool others;
rather let us imitate you
and emulate your nature
in all we are, that your love
may shine in us.

it is also deeply embarrassing

Always important to ask, why biblical but never Christlike?

Antithesis of Christlike ever seeking Self Glorification.

What white evangelicals don't get, because they are the in-group, is that if "christian" isn't defined by Jesus, then it can mean whatever the in-group wants it to mean.

Untethered from Jesus, the in-group will grow by being known as a haven for un-christlike values: power, money, sex.

They're not Christlike at all, but they are Christians.
