This almost happened, where portage ebuilds were getting wrapped under bazel so ChromeOS could be built via bazel, but the effort got cancelled in google :'(

とはいえソフト開発者視点ではまた違っていて、ベースになっているChromiumOSのソースコードが公開されていますし、Chromebookのファームウェアのソースコードや書き換え方法も公開されているので、むしろ何でもできる自由なプラットフォームです。

yeahh i cant talk about the hardware, my only experience has been chromiumos distros and brunch framework on regular x86 hardware. ive heard the chromebook plus ones are great but i dont really know much

I once ran CloudReady (repackaged ChromiumOS) on an old Dell Latitude D620 until the GPU finally cooked itself and it was a genuinely nice experience that breathed new life into an ailing and ancient machine, and that's what ChromeOS should be. Instead it's a nightmare of DRM and lockin.

Annoying that I have to run 3 full copies of Firefox as separate apps.

1) Firefox itself
2) Zotero
3) Zen browser whose split view is useful for social media.

The Web platform and browsing app have been too strongly coupled. Need FirefoxOS / ChromiumOS purely as a platform for app developers.

The XpressReal T3 is a single-board computer (SBC) that looks like a slightly larger Raspberry Pi Zero. 2 W. But the T3 has a faster processor, more memory, onboard storage, more ports and connectors, and support for faster network connections. Available for purchase for £44.44 (about $60), it's also the first XpressReal SBC developed through a collaboration between single-board PC maker Radxa, chip maker Realtek, and Fyde Innovations.
