Today, we visited taxidermist Rafa Roman in his #GranCanaria atelier, where he crafted 10 stunning brown booby decoys! 🪶 These creations will form a 'small colony' on #CimaIslet (#Rombos, #CaboVerde), aiming to attract boobies from suboptimal breeding sites in Brava to thrive in Cima @ProjectoVito

Seabird monitoring and conservation are ongoing at Cima Islet, an important biodiversity hotspot in Cabo Verde. From March 9 to 20, activities included nest monitoring, bird ringing, sample collection, and the use of GPS/GEO devices to assess breeding status.
